Bio-Truck to drive from coast to coast on solid biomass!

Wayne Keith, a partner in Renewable Energy Systems LLC (RES), has developed gasification technology that enables regular vehicles which are normally fueled with gasoline, to be powered with a wide range of solid biomass materials, like wood, switchgrass, crop residues and broiler litter.

The biomass powered pickup (the Bio-Truck) will be used to attract media attention, and will be powered on a wide range of solid fuels during the course of the tour accross the United States.

Growing Oil with CEHMMC

This year, T-CO Alternative Fuels, LLC. was invited to the 2008 Southeast Bioenergy Conference in Tifton, Georgia and issued press credentials for conducting interviews with speakers and exhibitors. We set-up our T-CO Mobile Uplink Studio right next to the conference center building and gave live, remote tours of our training program and facility using the Internet. A staff member was present in our training facility in Moultrie, Georgia ready to answer questions and participate in the conversation.

We also had the pleasure of presenting the following video, “Growing Oil”, which showcases the CEHMMC algae growing project. The greeting you see at the start of the video was prerecorded, remotely over the Internet, with Douglas Lynn, the CEO of CEHMMC.

LIVE EVENT: David James Discusses The Gasification Of Algae Biomass To Green Fuels

On Thursday, June 26, 2008, starting at 2:00 P.M. E.S.T., David James will be discussing the gasification of algae biomass to produce green diesel and green gasoline. He will speak briefly about the process, the fuels produced and the benefits/advantages of gasification.

Following his presentation, he will be available to answer any questions you might have regarding the gasification of algae biomass into green fuels.

There is NO CHARGE to attend this event, but seats are limited.

David James takes a look at the tanks in which algae is growing for a biodiesel operation at the Eastwood Christian School Friday.

In most cases, referring to someone as pond scum would be considered an insult.

However, for one Opelika man, the term potentially represents keen insight in addressing the fuel needs of the world someday in the not too distant future.

Earlier this week, David James, headmaster of Eastwood Christian School in Opelika, had a number of representatives from area laboratories and the U.S. Department of Agriculture present as he demonstrated a process in which algae (pond scum) could be collected from water, dried and pressed using a kinetic energy machine to extract oil that could be used as a fuel source.

May 19, James plans to have a much larger alternative energies demonstration at Eastwood Christian School, where he will have equipment on the site of his school, capable of gathering algae used to make biodiesel fuels.

A number of state officials, television networks, the National Guard and even a zeppelin fueled with biodiesel made from algae will hover over the private school on May 19.

The vehicles at the school will all be running on a number of biodiesel fuels made from algae as well.

“Today we’re proving that this can really happen,” said James, who was attempting to extract biodiesel from algae for the first time
