Bio-Truck to drive from coast to coast on solid biomass!09.19.08

Click to watch the interview and demonstration.Wayne Keith, a partner in Renewable Energy Systems LLC (RES), has developed gasification technology that enables regular vehicles which are normally fueled with gasoline, to be powered with a wide range of solid biomass materials, like wood, switchgrass, crop residues and broiler litter.

The biomass powered pickup (the Bio-Truck) will be used to attract media attention, and will be powered on a wide range of solid fuels during the course of the tour accross the United States.

Growing Oil with CEHMMC09.17.08

This year, T-CO Alternative Fuels, LLC. was invited to the 2008 Southeast Bioenergy Conference in Tifton, Georgia and issued press credentials for conducting interviews with speakers and exhibitors. We set-up our T-CO Mobile Uplink Studio right next to the conference center building and gave live, remote tours of our training program and facility using the Internet. A staff member was present in our training facility in Moultrie, Georgia ready to answer questions and participate in the conversation.

We also had the pleasure of presenting the following video, “Growing Oil”, which showcases the CEHMMC algae growing project. The greeting you see at the start of the video was prerecorded, remotely over the Internet, with Douglas Lynn, the CEO of CEHMMC.

Alternative Energy Demonstration to be Held at Eastwood Christian School on May 19

Vehicles will run on biodiesel fuel made from algae.

Opelika, AL - On Monday, May 19, 2008, for the first known time in American history, vehicles will be powered by algae based fuel. David James, director of Alternative Energies and headmaster of Eastwood Christian School, along with Unified Fuels will conduct a demonstration of alternative energy. The momentous event will begin at 10:00 A.M. Central Time and is by invitation only; however, representatives of the media are encouraged to attend.
The alternative energy demonstration will not only showcase equipment that gathers algae, but also production methods used to make biodiesel and other alternative fuels. Vehicles at the school will actually run on the fuels made from algae. In addition, a new generation airship, Pseudo Satellite, LLC, will use algal biodiesel fuel to ascend.

In early April, David James demonstrated the process called transesterification in which oil extracted from algae, was used as a fuel source. Representatives from area laboratories, universities and the United States Department of Agriculture witnessed the demonstration.

James is collaborating with Dr. David Bransby, Auburn University agriculture department, and Ron Putt, an Auburn University chemical engineering professor who is heading up an algae-growing program at the university.

Referring to advantages of algae-growing programs, David James said, “Alabama has lost catfish and timber industries to China. Our objective is not only to make fuel, but to save industry in Alabama. Southeastern states – Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida – can produce enough fuel for the United States. Also, using algae to produce fuel will not impact human food supplies and costs like ethanol production has done.”

Watch the press conference HERE, LIVE ON THIS SITE.

We will be simulcasting the press conference and demonstration live over the Internet. You will need a computer, with audio capabilities, connected to the Internet to fully participate. A live chat will be made available during question and answer sessions.

The address of Eastwood Christian School in the Salem area is 2176 Lee Road 183, Opelika, Alabama.
